Eyja M.J. Brynjarsdóttir

I am a professor of philosophy at the University of Iceland. I have worked on various things having to do with metaphysics, philosophy of mind, epistemology, and feminist philosophy, usually centering in one way or another on how the human mind interacts with the world around it. My PhD dissertation at Cornell University was on the metaphysics of sensory properties but my most recent work is within social and political philosophy, more exactly social metaphysics, social epistemology, applied ethics, and feminist philosophy. I am chair of the board of the Centre for Ethics at the University of Iceland and am currently (2022–2024) a co-editor of NORA – Nordic Journal of Feminist and Gender Research.
